Leather Works Minnesota began in a basement in 1999. From the beginning, the dream was to start a company that would "bring back American Made" in an era of mass outsourcing.
Each item is made by hand and inspected at every phase of the process. From sewing to burnished edges, we are always in pursuit of excellence. We only use the finest materials, with the majority of our leather coming from Red Wing's S.B. Foot tannery (1872). We never allow an item to leave our front door that we
are not proud of.
We're proud to be a part of the Northern Grade movement, founded by Pierrepont Hicks in 2010. We find great pride in working along side other M.I.A. brands, and are in awe of the support that we have received along the way.
Our company is unique because it is family run. Kent & Lee, husband and wife team, along with their son Nathan run the shop along with newest member Joe. We are a group of 4 like-minded individuals with the same purpose and direction. 2014 is leading us onward and upward.
Last year LWM found its new home in the famous art district of Lowertown, St. Paul during a season of urban renewal. We are excited to have our business located at the center of a massive developmental project to rejuvenate the neighborhood.
We do what we love, and we strive daily to be outstanding in our field.
